AUDIENCE SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE

LA Opera seeks customer oriented individuals to answer calls and provide information to opera subscribers and single ticket patrons in a busy ticketing department. Both full and part- time position are available but schedules will require some weekend and evening hours.

Candidates should possess the following qualifications: strong customer service background; excellent communication skills; ability to work under pressure; organizational skills; good phone demeanor. Knowledge of Windows, Word and Excel are essential. Ticket selling skills are a plus.

Audience Service Representatives are required to become union members. Starting hourly rate is $11.40 with some flexibility depending on experience.

COMMUNITY PROGRAMS COORDINATOR

The Community Programs Coordinator promotes LA Opera in the community through outreach programming. The essential responsibilities include development of relationships with libraries, senior centers, and other non-profit organizations; administration of the volunteer-staffed Speakers Bureau, the Library Project outreach program, the free senior center dress rehearsal, and college outreach.

Qualified Candidates will have a Bachelors Degree, community experience in the arts or other non-profit organizations, and be proficient in MS Office. Successful candidates will have strong written and verbal skills, have broad knowledge of operatic repertoire, and will be able to positively represent the company. Knowledge of classical music, particularly opera, is preferred but is not required. This position will require some evenings and weekends.
